About Region 5

The National Farmers Union is organized regionally. Each Region holds an annual convention where regional officers are elected and resolutions brought forward by members of the region are debated. Resolutions that are passed at the regional level are then debated and voted on at the annual National Convention. One board member from each region serves as the Regional Coordinator. Region 5 comprises the province of Manitoba.

Welcome Modupe (Mo) Okunlola, NFU-MB’s new staff person. Mo takes over from Leanna Wiebe, who we wish well in her new endeavours. Learn more about Mo here.

NFU-MB is actively seeking a member to fill the BIPOC Advisory Committee Representative role.

NFU-MB is this years recipient of the prestigious Errol Black Chair in Labour Issues Award. Fred Tait, who represented Manitoba on the NFU National Board from 1994 to 1997, served as Vice-President from 1997 to 2022, and again served on the National Board from 2005 to 2008, accepted the award on behalf of the NFU.
