NFU to hold Regional Convention (NB, NS and PE) August 6, 2013

Members of the National Farmers Union (NFU) from across Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick will meet in Cornwall, PEI on August 6th, 2013. The NFU regional convention will be held at The Dutch Inn commencing at 9:30 A.M.

Mark Austin – Chair of USC Canada
Dave Aiton – Update on the Growing Forward II program
In addition, resolutions put forward at the meeting will be debated. Elections will be held for two Region 1 representatives to the NFU Board of Directors, as well as Women’s and Youth Advisory Committee members, and an International Program Committee member.

The NFU is a nation-wide, direct membership organization made up of farm families. The NFU promotes policies which promote environmental stewardship and which strengthen the family-farm system of food production.
